Case study details

The owner of a physical shop wanted to extend sales online without re-entering the suppliers’ entire range by hand. I built a PrestaShop e-shop with product import, contributed to the graphics, including the logo and some of the product images, and configured the email server and backups. The e-shop now imports supplier products automatically, the business email is configured for deliverability and spam filtering, and the related data is backed up.

“Our goal was to extend sales from our bricks-and-mortar shop to the internet as well. Mr Vodička created an online shop for us with product import from our suppliers and also took part in the graphic design, including the logo and images of selected products. He configured the email server so that our messages were not marked as spam and unwanted mail was reliably filtered out. By introducing backups, he contributed to more stable operations.”

Getting a video editing suite working before a screening

Documentary filmmaker · one-off technical job

Case study details

Problems with the computer and the editing suite interrupted a documentary filmmaker’s work a few days before a screening. I identified the obstacle with a direct impact on finishing the film and dealt with the computer and the editing software environment as a single working unit. The working environment was usable again, editing could continue and the documentary was finished on time.

Covering dead spots and Wi‑Fi roaming

Case study details

The Wi‑Fi worked mainly near the house; in the more distant parts of the property the connection was weak, unstable or unavailable. I designed a better placement of the network devices, configured the access points to work together with roaming, and verified the result where the network is actually used. The former dead spots now have usable coverage, and roaming has reduced problems when devices move between access points.
